First off, we would like to say “Welcome!” and “Thank You!” for visiting SoilSouls.org, we appreciate your support. As the world adjusts to our new now, so is Soil & Souls. Next, our mission in the time of COVID-19 is safety and keeping education accessible. Below are a few things that are we are doing in response to COVID-19 to keep ourselves and our communities safe:
- The first act of the nursery was to join a national mutual aid network by becoming a seed distribution hub in the Cooperative Gardens Commission.
- We are moving our training online! (If you haven’t already, check it out here)
- Our 2020 Winston-Salem, NC Mission Conference will be done virtually. Feel free to join in even if you’re not from the Piedmont Triad area.
- As the world continues to grow and change, so will we. Luckily, our resources, opportunities, and training are expanding and becoming more available to people from different communities.
Our mission has always been based around education about our soil and souls together. Our mission in the time of COVID-19 is still about education and by being together in our distance. We miss doing that in person, but we will not do so until it is safe. We will resume our regular in-person sessions when that becomes possible. Until then, stay thriving in resilience!
